Our New Parent Education Series Spring 2010 is here! Connecting with Kids for Parents, presented by Krista M. Marchman, Ph.D. and Educational Consulting Associates, Inc. As everyone knows, children don't come with an instruction manual, so parents need to look elsewhere for parenting resources. Though it may be tempting to rely on the advice of previous generations for parenting concerns, usually the best advice can come from a more established and objective source. Improving your parenting can be as easy as enrolling in one of our parent education classes. The programs offered by Dr. Marchman help parents raise healthy, happy children with nonviolent discipline techniques and a veritable toolbox of effective parenting methods. Each class will teach you everything you need to know about being a superb parent for your children, including instilling confidence in your children, and encouraging mutual respect. We attempt to offer a variety of programs customized for children of different age groups, covering a range of current topics. Each parenting course offers a variety of tools to make you a better parent including: • Lecture presentation • DVD presentations with filmed scenes of real-life family situations • Participant's guide, workbook or materials • Discussions and activities with other class members. The Spring Series will be held one time per month beginning in February 2010 with the final class taking place in May 2010. First, please register with us or sign in if you are a returning customer.
